Holly Madison Confirms Split with Zak Bagans, Says They're 'Broke Up for Good'
Holly Madison and Zak Bagans have officially ended their relationship. The former Playboy model noted their breakup while discussing her friend Luke "The Dingo" Trembath's death on her Girls Next Level podcast with cohost Bridget Marquardt.
"And then the day after that, Zak and I broke up for good," Madison, 45, stated. She acknowledged the couple's tumultuous relationship history. "I know we’ve been very off and on. You guys are probably like, ‘You broke up last spring, right?’" Marquardt chimed in, commenting on their uncertainties, saying, "‘Are they together? Are they not together?’ Who knows?"
Madison recognized their patterned relationship, saying, "It was very off and on for about five and a half years. Unfortunately, the past year has been especially rocky." She added the seriousness of their breakup was evident when they both unfollowed each other on social media. "That's when you know it's serious," Marquardt affirmed.
In June 2019, PEOPLE confirmed that the former Girls Next Door star began dating Bagans shortly after Madison divorced Pasquale Rotella, the founder of Electric Daisy Carnival. Madison and Rotella share two children, daughter Rainbow and son Forest, born in March 2013 and August 2016, respectively.
In March 2024, Madison shared how her autism diagnosis at 42 influenced her bond with Bagans. She reflected, "I struggled to connect with people. I think that affected my decisions. I often thought, 'This connection must be meant to be,’ thinking it was a natural feeling. But on the spectrum, that connection was complex for me."
Madison expressed gratitude for Bagans' understanding regarding her diagnosis. "I’m fortunate to date someone who understands and accepts me, so the diagnosis was no surprise to him," she commented. "I've been lucky not to encounter many challenges in finding an intimate emotional connection recently."
