How Trace Cyrus Feels About Miley Cyrus' Fame

Trace Cyrus, a member of the band Metro Station, has opened up about his feelings regarding sister Miley Cyrus' fame. He recently shared insights with their mother, Tish Cyrus, discussing how Miley's stardom has impacted his life.

Trace identified one of the many positives he finds in being Miley's brother during a heartfelt moment with Tish. He expressed gratitude for the opportunities generated by Miley’s presence in the entertainment industry. Tish recalled his words during the November 24 episode of Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson: "I've never been jealous of Miley. I've always been grateful for the opportunities I get because of her."

Tish highlighted that all her children, including Miley, Brandi, Braison, and Noah, recognize the advantages of Miley's influence on their careers. She noted, "My kids have mostly seen it that way." While acknowledging the unique difficulty of having a sibling like Miley, she indicated that not everyone achieves such fame. "It's harder because you have to work hard and pursue different paths," she mentioned.

While Trace appreciates the opportunities his sister's fame offers, he has voiced concerns about the challenges it also brings. In an August 2023 Q&A, he confessed, "I think I'd be much more successful if I wasn't part of a famous family." Trace elaborated that many people judge his success based on his family ties. He stated, "People want to discredit my hard work because of who I’m related to. That's far from the truth."

He detailed how he tried to step away from the association with Miley early in his career. "I never put my last name online for the first years of my career until people started noticing," he shared. Despite this effort, Trace maintains a strong connection with his family and recently paid tribute to Tish in an Instagram post for her wedding in August 2023. He expressed, "I feel extremely blessed to be part of such an amazing family."
