Hugh Jackman Responds to Martha Stewart's Take on Ryan Reynolds' Humor
Hugh Jackman skillfully reacted to Martha Stewart's statement about Ryan Reynolds. Martha referred to Ryan as "not so funny in real life" during a recent interview.
Ryan Reynolds is known for his exceptional humor. Therefore, when Martha described him as serious and lacking comedic charm, Hugh seized the chance to playfully tease Ryan. Jackman responded on X, formerly Twitter, saying, "Finally, someone says it."
In response, Ryan added his perspective. He humorously disagreed with Martha on X, stating, "I’d disagree with her, but I tried that once. She closed the gap quickly after a mile or so."
Martha's comments emerged during her guest appearance on Bilt Rewards’ November Rent Free game show. When asked about celebrities who are fun to hang out with, she included her friend Snoop Dogg and insisted Ryan was not part of the lineup. "He’s not so funny in real life. He’s very serious," she mentioned.
Martha suggested replacing Ryan on her list, sharing her preference for Taylor Swift and Snoop Dogg, also mentioning George Clooney as someone enjoyable to hang out with. Despite her critiques, she acknowledged Ryan as a "good actor" who can "act funny."
Martha playfully concluded, "I'm going to get in trouble. He's my neighbor." The 83-year-old has shared insights into her relationship with Ryan and his wife, Blake Lively. She once remarked on her enjoyment of Blake's visits, recalling a fun Easter gathering back in 2014.
Although Martha took a playful jab at Ryan, his wife Blake often joins in on roasting him. Recently, at a surprise screening of her film It Ends With Us, Blake brought Ryan's mother instead of him, affectionately calling her "the hottest plus one."
