Hulk Hogan Uncertain About Daughter Brooke's Silence

Hulk Hogan reportedly feels confused about his daughter Brooke's silence. This follows her ongoing estrangement from her mother, Linda Hogan, Hulk's ex-wife.

A source informed Us Weekly that Hulk, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, says, "He doesn’t know why Brooke won’t speak to him." The insider noted that this situation is newer, distinguishing it from the estrangement Brooke has with her mother.

The source suggested the strain may relate to Hulk's divorce from Linda, 65, that occurred in 2007. "A lot of damage was done during their divorce," the insider asserted. Despite challenges, "Terry has tried to be a good dad," the source added. They state Hulk remains "very close" to Brooke’s brother, Nick Hogan.

Linda filed for divorce from Hulk in November 2007 after more than two decades of marriage. Nearly two years later, they finalized the divorce in July 2009, sharing two children—Brooke, 36, and Nick, 34. At the time, Hulk's representative mentioned his hopes of moving forward positively and maintaining a friendship with Linda for their children.

In the following years, Brooke attempted to avoid the spotlight. However, upon her return to reality TV—in the show "Champs vs. Stars"—she sought her father's support. In April 2018, she recounted calling Hulk two days into filming, revealing her regrets about returning to television. He encouraged her to focus and stay positive during the competition.

Despite the closeness in the past, their relationship has become strained. Brooke sparked speculation when she skipped her father's wedding to Sky Daily in September 2023. Brooke stated via Instagram, "For my own journey to healing and happiness, I have chosen to create some distance between myself and my family."

Recently, Brooke quietly wed hockey player Steven Olesky in June 2022. It remains unclear if her parents attended. She also welcomed twins, Oliver and Molly, in January. Linda claims she was unaware of these developments.

Linda alleged in an Instagram Story video, "Brooke doesn’t talk to us. She got married without telling us." She expressed her confusion about why Brooke, after years of distance between Linda and Hulk, would handle her relationships this way.

In response, Brooke addressed her mother's statements on Instagram. She pointed out her effort to maintain peace and explained her decision to limit her career proximity to protect herself from family negativity.

Brooke detailed distinct reasons for her lack of contact with her parents. "No contact with my mom has nothing to do with my dad," she wrote. "This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me my entire life."

Brooke alleged enduring verbal and mental abuse during her childhood, though she did not specify the abuser. She characterized childhood experiences as one where she sought a normal family, but it never materialized. "I longed for a normal family, but it never came to fruition," she shared.

She mentioned setting boundaries that included seeking help through therapy. Expressing her love for her parents, she reaffirmed that her emotional well-being required distancing herself from both.

In a separate statement on Instagram, Brooke refuted Linda's claim that she has "never met" her husband by sharing a photo with them from 2023. Brooke clarified her previous statements did not accuse anyone specifically of toxic behaviors and that if her mother felt "triggered," it reflects a larger truth.

"I have people who know the truth... I am not afraid," she concluded.
