James Kennedy's Ex Ally Lewber Discusses "Toxic" Relationship
Ally Lewber recently opened up about her relationship with James Kennedy. This came just two months after their breakup. In a teaser for her podcast, StarStruck, she described their romance as "toxic." The podcast will officially debut on April 2, with new episodes airing every Wednesday.
Ally expressed, "It was difficult." She noted how public their relationship was, stating, "I recognize now that that was a toxic relationship."
At 29 years old, Ally reflected on how supportive her friends and family have been during this time. She mentioned that the breakup followed James’ arrest in December. "I’m grateful for being on the other side of it," she said. "All of your messages and support have been encouraging and helpful. I have a great support system here in LA — I'm thankful for my friends and my mom."
Ally, who appeared in the 10th season of Vanderpump Rules in 2023, emphasized her determination to move forward. "I just want you guys to know that I’m good — I’m great," she said, sharing that she has a new place and is enjoying decorating it. "I’m excited for this new era where I can focus on astrology and my passion, leaving behind DJs and reality TV."
One highlight of this new chapter is her podcast, where she will analyze celebrity birth charts extensively. "We’ll break down their charts from career highs to romantic lows, and nothing is off limits," she said.
Despite her newfound focus, Ally previously addressed James’ domestic violence arrest. She mentioned, "I was not physically hurt" in that incident. She also stated, "We are no longer together, but I’ll always support James and wish him the best as he seeks sobriety and healing."
James Kennedy has since focused on making meaningful changes in his life. He shared a statement on December 17 about concentrating on sobriety and personal growth. "Navigating challenging moments isn’t easy," the 32-year-old stated. He emphasized his commitment to learning and growing with the support around him.
Earlier this year, he shared progress on his sobriety. "48 days sober," he wrote in a January Instagram Story.
