Jana Kramer Reveals Her Greatest Regret About Plastic Surgery
Jana Kramer, former star of One Tree Hill, opened up recently about her cosmetic decisions, including breast implants and Botox. She expressed regret that her choices may not have been entirely for herself.
"My biggest regret with my boobs is not knowing if I solely did it for me," Jana shared during her February 23 podcast episode, Whine Down. She emphasized the importance of making such decisions purely for oneself.
The Impact of Relationships on Choices
Kramer has been open about her past experiences, particularly during her marriage to ex-husband Mike Caussin. She explained that comparison played a significant role in her decision to undergo breast augmentation.
"I was in a marriage with a husband who was cheating constantly," she noted. "Seeing the women he was with made me feel inadequate. I thought, ‘Maybe if I had bigger boobs, he wouldn't cheat or see me as less attractive.’"
The 41-year-old pointed out how external opinions affected her self-esteem, stating, "My breasts were always firm, but after two kids, they sagged. People reacted negatively, making me feel unattractive."
Changing Perspective on Breast Augmentation
After undergoing the surgery, Jana initially felt confident and showcased her new figure. However, she later realized this attention-seeking behavior was unhealthy.
"I flaunted my new chest a bit too much," she admitted. "Looking back, it feels sad because I was craving validation."
Regarding her implants now, Jana stated she intends to keep them for at least another decade. However, she is unlikely to replace them once removed.
"I would prefer just a lift when the time comes," she said. "Allan appreciates how I look. While he's okay with Botox, he dislikes the implants."
Jana concluded that even considering her partner’s preferences, she acknowledges, "I would have gone for the lift for myself. The implant wasn't solely for me."
