Jason Kelce Smashes Phone After Heckler Calls Travis Kelce a Homophobic Slur
Jason Kelce confronted a man who insulted his brother, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift using an anti-gay slur, leading to a severe reaction from Jason.
While walking near Beaver Stadium at Penn State University Park on November 2, fan interactions turned confrontational. A nearby heckler audibly insulted Travis and Taylor. He shouted, "Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a [homophobic slur] for dating Taylor Swift?"
In response, Jason turned around and appeared to take the individual’s phone, forcefully smashing it to the ground before picking it up and leaving the scene. This incident was captured in videos shared on social media platforms.
There is uncertainty about whether the man who lost his phone was the person who directed the slur at Jason. Reports from NBC News did not clarify this detail.
The 36-year-old Kelce was in attendance for ESPN's College GameDay activity. He has been a long-standing supporter of Travis and Taylor's relationship, which began over a year ago.
Jason and his wife, Kylie, have attended several Eras tour concerts along with their daughters, Wyatt and Elliotte. The most recent concert visit occurred in Miami the previous month.
During an episode of the New Heights podcast, Jason expressed his excitement from the concert. He shared how he texted Travis midway, saying, "This rain, Tay is killing it." He recounted how an electrifying atmosphere arose when Taylor performed "Reputation": "The place could have f--king erupted."
Jason and Kylie have frequently attended Travis's NFL games alongside Taylor. Reflecting on one game, Jason commented on the impact she has when present. "Travis came up big because he had someone special in the stadium," he noted, emphasizing Travis’s motivation to perform well in front of Taylor.
Adding humor, Jason declared that Travis consistently has "good games when I show up."
