Jenna Ortega Wears a Glass Dress on *The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Jenna Ortega made a striking appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, March 25. The 22-year-old actress embodied the saying "beauty is pain" while showcasing a unique knee-length red dress. She discussed her upcoming projects, including the second season of her Netflix series *Wednesday* and her movie Death of a Unicorn.
While her dress was visually stunning, Ortega revealed it had some uncomfortable aspects. It was composed of individual pieces of glass. She remarked, "I'm not going to lie, there are pieces of glass poking my ass every time I sit." Colbert humorously responded that they needed a medic team on set, dubbing her "the lady in glass."
In a lighthearted moment, Ortega said, "I feel uncomfortable and extremely comfortable at the same time."
The second season of Wednesday is set to premiere on Netflix in 2025. While detailed plot points remain secret, star Catherine Zeta-Jones teased that the new season "will be bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine," as stated in a September 2024 Netflix preview. Moreover, Ortega hinted at significant developments, claiming the last episode showcases "some of my favorite footage from the show."
Ortega has gained applause for her signature goth look in the smash hit series. In March 2023, she mentioned how filming caused her to eliminate color from her wardrobe. "Working on Wednesday, I suddenly only ever wore black," she shared with New York Magazine's The Cut. "I didn’t know why. For some reason, my closet just lost all its color."
In the rest of her interview, she noted, "After Wednesday, I just don’t wear a lot of color. Now, I feel like I tend to stick to darker and more earthy tones."
Earlier, SSP reported that Sherri Shepherd called out actress who accused her of shading.
