Jessica Simpson Elevates Airport Fashion with Cheetah Print and High Boots
On Thursday, March 13, the singer posted videos on TikTok and Instagram showcasing her striking airport outfit. She traveled to Austin for her first performance in 15 years at the Recording Academy's Austin Chapter Block Party, part of the South by Southwest festival.
In the clip, Simpson dons an eye-catching teal fur coat over a cheetah-print jumpsuit paired with tall latex boots boasting high heels. Her ensemble is completed with oversized aviator sunglasses and a large cross necklace.
"We just landed in Austin, and I’m about to wait in line at Enterprise. This isn't an ad, but I'm getting a rental car," she narrates, just before hilariously cutting to a scene of her in line among other renters.
Fans expressed admiration for her bold travel look in the comments section. One fan wrote, "This is EXACTLY how I want to dress the next time I fly…"
Celebrity hairstylist Rita Hazan chimed in with, "Classic Jessica. I love it! That coat is everything. I might have to steal it from you next time I see you @jessicasimpson."
Simpson's music career continues to flourish; she recently debuted her pop-country rock single "Use My Heart Against Me," her first original release in years.
"It was a sexy song to write," Simpson told PEOPLE about the track, which is part of her upcoming EP, Nashville Canyon, Part 1, set to drop on March 21.
Additionally, she released the song "Leave" two months after announcing her split from Eric Johnson in January, following a decade of marriage. This song references a past relationship, potentially reflecting the complexities of her former marriage.
During the Austin event, dressed in a suede Western outfit, Simpson performed "These Boots Are Made for Walking" and "Son of a Preacher Man," as reported by Rolling Stone.
