Joey King Suffered Facial Burns in a Kitchen Accident

Joey King recently faced a cooking accident that left her with burns on her face. She described the injuries as results of an incident involving hot oil.

In her Instagram Story, Joey shared photos showcasing the different healing stages of her burns. This occurred after oil splattered while she was cooking. Despite the accident, the 25-year-old actress stays in good spirits. She humorously noted the event, sharing a picture of herself making a peace sign while her chin and neck were covered in ointment.

"I burned myself a few days ago by throwing shallots into a pan of hot oil," she remarked on her post. In a comedic twist, she revealed her mother's reaction: "See that’s why I hate cooking."

Joey seems fond of cooking, contrary to her mother's sentiments. In a cooking segment on The Drew Barrymore Show, she expressed her enthusiasm. "My boyfriend is an amazing cook," she shared, noting how he inspired her. She added, "Once I started, I just could not stop. Cooking’s the best."

Although her culinary enthusiasm has affected her appearance recently, she has also enjoyed experimenting with her look. Recently, she debuted newly bleached eyebrows. "I dyed my eyebrows like a week ago," she mentioned in a TikTok video on January 16.

Even though Joey expressed her liking for her new look, her mother, Jamie King, disagreed. She confided, "I saw my mom two days ago and she was like, 'I just can't look at you.'" Joey humorously responded, "Mom, that's the point. I'm trying something different."
