John Mulaney Celebrates Daughter Méi's 3-Month Birthday with Unique Gifts
John Mulaney and actress Olivia Munn welcomed their daughter, Méi June, via surrogate in September. They also have a 3-year-old son, Malcolm Hiệp. Recently, Mulaney shared how they celebrated Méi's three-month birthday. During an appearance at his show ALL IN: Comedy About Love in New York City, he described a charming bonding moment.
Mulaney explained how he introduced some crinkly black-and-white paper to Méi. He noted this type of contrast captivates the attention of a 3-month-old. "We put her hand on it, and then she was playing with it herself," Mulaney stated.
In addition to these simple gifts, Mulaney highlighted his deep desire to spend time with his daughter. "I got home from the show at about 11 p.m., and the good thing about a 3-month-old is she's up. So I held her for a couple of hours," he said. They even dressed Méi up for an occasion. "This morning, we put a bow on her head. She had no choice."
Mulaney also shared another unexpected gift: a special visit from actor Richard Kind. In a recent Instagram post, he included a picture of Kind making a crying face while holding a calm Méi. "Happy three-month birthday my little plum. I got you Richard Kind as a gift," he wrote. Munn added humorously, "One of these two people is on Broadway right now with John."
On Instagram, Munn gave fans a glimpse into their recent family life. She posted a heartwarming video of herself and Méi cuddling by a fireplace. It featured moments leading up to the holidays, emphasizing family joy. In one clip, she asked Méi if she could say "hello" and expressed her admiration, saying, "You’re so cute. You’re so chunky and cute."
The siblings also shared a sweet interaction. In one clip, Malcolm asked if Méi was coughing, to which Munnt clarified that she was just "making little sounds". They shared a touching image together, with Munn holding Méi beside their Christmas tree, showing Méi in cozy winter attire.
Munn had Méi accompany her as she prepared to attend the Broadway premiere of Mulaney's show. The caption read, "Trying to get as dewy as Méi." After the show, they posed together, with Munn expressing her pride, saying, "So proud of this Broadway baby."
