Keke Palmer Embraces Self-Love for Her Role as a Mom
Keke Palmer is thriving in her new chapter as a mother, crediting much of her vibrance to her 2-year-old son, Leodis. On February 26, the actress, 31, attended Vanity Fair and Instagram’s Vanities party, glowing on the red carpet. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Palmer revealed, "I attribute it to self-love, which has been ignited even more by my son. As a parent, you're always trying to be better, and I've been focusing on self-improvement to be the best mom to him." This commitment to self-love has made her life more fulfilling. In addition to her personal growth, Palmer’s career is also on a high. She was named entertainer of the year at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards and won outstanding host for her NBC show Password. At the 2025 SAG Awards, she wore a stunning Chanel gown once donned by Jamie Lee Curtis. During the Vanities soirée, Palmer thanked mentors like Curtis and Queen Latifah for their support. "I've had wonderful experiences with others in the industry," she shared.
Even amidst her busy schedule, Palmer didn't miss celebrating Leodis' second birthday on February 25. She penned a heartfelt Instagram post, saying, "You have made me who I will forever be, a MOTHA. For me, you are my greatest strength." Palmer also manages Leodis' Instagram account and shared pictures from his birthday celebration. Captioned from Leodis’ perspective, the post read, "Happy birthday TO MEEEEE! I had the best birthday! Mommy braided my hair while we watched Nemo—annoying but distracting."
Before his party, Leodis took a nap, and later, toys and a visit from Blippi made the day special. "I felt my Dad in spirit and loved having family and friends around. I'm a grateful kid," the post continued. Palmer lovingly commented on these photos, declaring, "Mommy loves you!!!!!!"
