Kim Kardashian Reflects on North's Changed Affection After a Year of Tension
Kim Kardashian is enjoying a renewed closeness with her daughter, North West, PEOPLE reported. The 44-year-old mother of four shared insights about their evolving relationship during the February 27 episode of The Kardashians.
While conversing with her sister, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, Kim shared a delightful update. "The craziest thing happened. Tell me if this happened with Mason," Kim started.
"North is like obsessed with me now," she continued. North even expresses her affection with her friends, stating, "Mom, I love you. You’re the best mom. I love you so much."
Kourtney commented that North has "always been like that with me," then asked Kim, "Do you think you've changed?"
"Possibly. It was a year of like mad at me," Kim replied, reflecting on their past friction.
Kourtney noted that the family dynamic shifted during Kim and Kanye West's divorce, which occurred in 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. Kim and Kanye share three other children: sons Psalm (5) and Saint (9), and daughter Chicago (7).
Kim responded thoughtfully, "I think it was all the divorce. It’s insane, the turnaround."
In a previous episode, during a conversation with Khloé Kardashian, Kim had revealed her feelings about her marriage's end. "That’s the hardest part. I’ve been there," she said. Kim reflected on the struggles of changed personalities after a breakup.
She expressed how difficult it is when circumstances dictate the end of a relationship. "It’s tougher when you don’t want your marriage to end for personal reasons, but circumstances change," she shared. "When you weren’t planning on that, and that’s not really the outcome you want, I think it makes it harder to get over."
