Kim Zolciak Describes Life with Estranged Husband Kroy Biermann as ‘Torture’
Kim Zolciak is providing insight into her ongoing separation from Kroy Biermann. Speaking to a TMZ reporter at Los Angeles International Airport on December 16, the 46-year-old reality star described her experiences as "torture."
When asked about her current situation, she responded, "I have for years." Zolciak emphasized her perspective by stating, "I’m a normal, rational person that doesn’t see the need for any of this controlling chaos. I don’t. I really don’t."
Recent reports indicated that police had been called to their shared home in Georgia on November 27. This incident arose allegedly after Zolciak and Biermann, 39, quarreled while she was removing curtains from a ladder. She claimed he became aggressive and physically removed her, resulting in her falling to the ground.
Zolciak reported injuries from this incident, but law enforcement stated she did not provide any evidence of these injuries. Biermann countered her claims, alleging that she instigated the confrontation by striking him in the face. This altercation reportedly occurred in front of their children: sons KJ, 13, Kash, 12, and 11-year-old twins Kaia and Kane. Biermann also adopted Zolciak's daughters, Brielle, 27, and Ariana, 23, from a previous relationship.
Law enforcement reportedly could not identify the "primary aggressor," leading to no arrests in the case. Zolciak told that Biermann has been the real issue. "Nobody has any idea what I’ve dealt with the last 2-and-a-half, 3 years of my life. I’m trying to take the high road," she said. She further remarked, "It’s gonna take me a long time to heal from this trauma I’ve experienced."
Zolciak stated that the couple is still "living together," although Biermann has his own house he isn’t currently occupying. She expressed her dissatisfaction with this arrangement, saying, "I hate it."
Earlier in December, reports emerged that their Georgia home, facing foreclosure, was set for public auction. Zolciak and Biermann purchased the mansion in 2021 for $880,000. Their relationship has faced numerous challenges, including a brief reconciliation after they initially filed for divorce in May 2023. Despite calling off their split, Biermann refilled for divorce weeks later, sparking continued disputes, particularly regarding finances and child custody.
When asked if Biermann is "too controlling," Zolciak replied, "To say the least. But it’s all good. I wish him well. I do."
