Kylie Kelce Explains Why She Skipped Taylor Swift's Home-Cooked Meal During Double Date

Kylie Kelce shared insights about a double date involving herself, her husband Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift on the February 12 episode of "Call Her Daddy." While discussing the experience, Kylie, 32, candidly remarked about a home-cooked meal prepared by Swift that didn’t sit well with her. "I don’t know that I really ate the meal," Kylie responded to host Alex Cooper when asked about her experience. She quickly added, "This is going to sound terrible," before elaborating on her circumstances.

She clarified, "I didn't really eat the meal because I was eight weeks pregnant." As a mother of three, this was important because she explained any food didn’t settle well at that stage of her pregnancy. She has daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, who is 23 months old. Currently, she and Jason are expecting their fourth child together.

During the podcast, Kylie opened up about how she discovered Travis was dating Taylor Swift. Interestingly, she knew about the relationship before Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game on September 24, 2023. "We knew before everyone else knew," Kylie said, adding humorously that this news "did not hit the group chat." She continued, "Jason and I found out together," before noting they were aware before Swift made headlines by attending a game.

When asked what she and Swift bond over, Kylie mentioned their shared experience visiting the same beaches in New Jersey. "We grew up going to the same shore points," she said, explaining their connections to areas like Sea Isle and Stone Harbor. Kylie added, "I’ve gone to Sea Isle City my whole life," highlighting their similar childhood memories.

Additionally, Kylie addressed rumors regarding her first interaction with Swift at the January 21, 2024 Chiefs' game against the Buffalo Bills. She noted, "People are deeply disturbed by this," referencing speculation about why they hadn’t met previously. Kylie clearly stated, "I’m not avoiding anyone," emphasizing her willingness to meet Swift.

She further explained, "I didn’t meet Travis for probably close to a year when Jason and I were dating." Jokingly, she acknowledged Swift’s busy schedule, alluding to the duration of Swift’s successful Eras Tour during that time.

"It’s just silly to me that that’s the storyline that’s written," Kylie commented, underscoring the unnecessary focus on such narratives. Kylie’s playful humor and clear recounting helped unravel the misconceptions surrounding her connection with Swift.

Rumors about Swift and Travis' romance ignited in September 2023, confirmed in October when they appeared publicly together. Swift has been a regular at several of Travis' games, including Super Bowl appearances in early 2025.

Since wrapping up the Eras Tour in December 2024, they look forward to some personal time together. A source told PEOPLE, "Their lives have been a whirlwind since they first started dating. Things seem great between them, and they’re incredibly happy together."
