Leni Klum Responds to Critics of Lingerie Ad with Heidi Klum
Leni Klum, daughter of supermodel Heidi Klum and singer Seal, addresses recent criticism surrounding her decision to appear in a lingerie campaign with her mother.
At 20 years old, Leni confidently acknowledges her talent. This confidence enables her to dismiss negativity from critics who disapprove of her lingerie photoshoot for Intimissimi, which took place in October.
In an interview with Glamour Germany, Leni remarked, "I always try to remember that no matter what you do, someone won’t like it." She emphasized the importance of focusing on positives instead of detractors. "You can’t control opinions, so it’s best not to dwell on negativity," she added.
While acknowledging her tendency to notice criticism, Leni chooses optimism instead. "Most negative comments are in German, which I don’t fully understand. That helps as well," she explained.
Leni, who is an interior design student at New York University while modeling, insists her career involves more than just posing. She states, "Modeling is not simply jumping in front of the camera and looking pretty."
"There are behind-the-scenes elements invisible in the final product," Leni shared. "Modeling demands significant discipline."
Heidi Klum has been instrumental in her understanding of the modeling profession. As a child, Leni often expressed a desire to join her mother at work. "I begged my mom to take me to her appointments," Leni recounted. She was captivated by set activities, including hair styling and makeup, and how much joy her mother found in each shoot.
Leni admitted, "At 13, I was eager to start modeling, but my mom knew I was too young. Today, I realize she was right!"
Currently, Leni focuses on personal happiness. "For me, success equates to satisfaction," she expressed. "If what you do makes you happy and fulfilled, then you truly achieve success."
