Maze Runner and Flight Night Star Dexter Darden Engaged

On Monday, December 9, the 33-year-old actor announced his engagement to fitness instructor Briah Nelson. This special moment was shared online through several posts reshared by friends on Darden's Instagram Stories. In the heartwarming footage, Darden staged a beautiful backyard proposal for Nelson. Nelson wore a white sweater and red leather pants, visibly emotional as she covered her face with her hands. Darden, in a white sweater and black pants, knelt down and presented a diamond ring from a wooden box. In a video shared by actor Iman Crosson, who attended the event, Nelson expressed her gratitude to friends and family. "It has been such a ride this past year and a half, in the best way," she said.

"And I’m so grateful, not only for this man but for all of you. If it weren’t for all of you, this wouldn't be possible." Darden replied, "No, absolutely not. Everyone here has played a part in this union, which has supported us through every trial."

Though often private about their relationship, Darden and Nelson have shared their feelings publicly. In September, Nelson posted photos from the Fight Night premiere, where Darden portrayed boxing legend Muhammad Ali. She captioned it: "When the man you prayed for becomes the man you pray with ♠️❤️."
