Meryl Streep’s Daughter Louisa Jacobson Highlights Support After Coming Out: ‘I Am So Lucky’
In June 2024, Louisa Jacobson publicly acknowledged her relationship with Anna Blundell. The "Gilded Age" actress expressed deep gratitude for the support she received during this significant time.
During an interview with PEOPLE on February 1, Jacobson attended the Human Rights Campaign’s 2025 Greater New York Dinner. At this event, she received the HRC Visibility Award. This award recognized her efforts in enhancing LGBTQ+ representation both on-screen and off.
Louisa, the youngest child of Meryl Streep and Don Gummer, was accompanied by her parents' support. The couple also has three older children: Henry Wolfe, 45; Mamie, 41; and Grace, 38. Jacobson felt honored to receive the award, remarking on the surprise due to her recent coming-out experience. She stated, "I am so, so grateful and thankful to the HRC."
She also highlighted the importance of visibility for the community. "It’s such a brilliant opportunity to speak about visibility," she added, referring to its significance for herself and others.
Jacobson indicated that the LGBTQ+ community welcomed her with warmth. She remarked, "I am so lucky to work in the industry that I do. I’m in a community of artists who also identify as LGBTQ." Her sense of gratitude was evident as she explained, "I don’t take that for granted."
Looking ahead to Valentine’s Day, Jacobson shared that she and Blundell plan to go dancing. During her acceptance speech at the HRC event, she addressed how vulnerability enhances connections.
"To be visible is to be vulnerable," she stated. She explained that many perceive vulnerability as a weakness, but it can be a powerful connection tool.
As an actress, she described powerful performances as those that stem from honesty and openness. "When actors drop the mask and reveal their true selves, that’s when the magic happens," she stated.
Jacobson emphasized that these principles also apply to life, noting the importance of being seen to forge genuine connections.
On June 22, she made her relationship Instagram official, coinciding with her mother's 75th birthday. In the heartfelt post, she wrote: "Blessed to be entering the Joyful New Era bb ❤️🔥🏳️🌈."
