MGK Reflects on the Bittersweet Birth of Baby with Megan Fox Following Friend's Death
Machine Gun Kelly is expressing his sorrow over the loss of his friend, Luke ‘The Dingo’ Trembath, through an emotional tribute. The singer, known as Colson Baker, honored the late Australian snowboarder on Instagram on March 7.
In his heartfelt message, Kelly revealed the depth of his grief and how Trembath’s passing adds a "bittersweet" touch to the upcoming arrival of his child with Megan Fox. Trembath passed away in February at the age of 38, with the cause of death remaining undisclosed.
Kelly shared poignant memories with a carousel of images featuring the two friends. In the caption, he wrote, "Crazy… I didn’t even cry this hard when my dad died. 💔😞🕊️ I’ve lost a lot of friends, but I’ve never lost a brother. We’ll never get another Dingo on this planet." He described Trembath as a "true rockstar" who didn't need to create music to stand out—a loyal and humorous person to whom he was proudly connected.
Moreover, Kelly found it particularly difficult to inform his daughter, Casie, 15, of Trembath’s death. He noted that Trembath had a special bond with her. "Telling my daughter you’re gone was one of my hardest phone calls, because she loved you so much," he said. He fondly remembered a time when she mistakenly called him "Ping Pong" instead of Dingo.
In a touching sentiment, he added, "I feel like you're up there with my new child, dressed up in a hilarious costume making them laugh." This highlights the duality of joy and loss he feels as he prepares for parenthood.
Kelly concluded, "Life will always be less without you, but legends never die. We’ll all miss you, brother. DINGO FOREVER. EST 4Life."
Currently, Kelly and Fox are anticipating the birth of their first child together. After separating quietly in November 2024, Fox announced her pregnancy soon after. She is already a mother to three sons: Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 8, from her marriage to Brian Austin Green.
The couple has experienced multiple breakups since starting their relationship in 2020 while filming "Midnight in the Switchgrass." However, this latest separation seems final, with Fox focusing on a healthy pregnancy. A source shared that "Megan is moving forward independently and is not interested in revisiting the past," emphasizing her commitment to healing during this time.
