Miles Teller Discusses Home Loss Due to Wildfires
Miles Teller provided an update on his and Keleigh's situation after losing their home in Los Angeles wildfires earlier this month. During an interview with Extra TV on January 31, while promoting his latest film, "The Gorge," he remarked that he and Keleigh are handling the situation one step at a time.
"We’re doing okay," the 37-year-old actor shared. He acknowledged that although this phase is challenging, it offers some distraction. "It’s just tricky," he added, demonstrating optimism amid adversity. Miles expressed gratitude towards his spouse for her emotional support as they face this loss together.
Keleigh Teller, 32, confirmed the house's destruction in an Instagram post from January 10. The post included images captured during their evacuation and the tragic aftermath upon their return. "To everyone reaching out, I can’t thank you enough; your kind hearts have meant the world," she wrote. Keleigh emphasized the strength of their community in Pacific Palisades and expressed her hope for a stronger comeback.
In a heartfelt message, she advised others in the LA area to evacuate if possible. "I wish I grabbed my wedding dress," she recalled, highlighting her immediate regrets. She also paid tribute to first responders fighting the fires.
Miles and Keleigh wed in Hawaii in September 2019, after becoming engaged during a safari in Africa in August 2017. Their relationship began in May 2013. During his appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan in October 2017, Miles recounted his unique proposal. "I had our guide … tie a rose to a tree … She thought somebody had died," he explained, portraying the memorable moment. He then declared, "Today was the last day you woke up as my girlfriend."
