Naomi Biden and Peter Neal Expect Their First Child
Naomi Biden, the granddaughter of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, is pregnant. She is expecting her first child with her husband, Peter Neal. Naomi shared the news in a photo that captured her voting in the 2024 presidential election.
In her Instagram Story posted on November 5, the 30-year-old daughter of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle revealed her baby bump. Dressed in a sleek black jumpsuit and poncho, she accessorized her look with a silver necklace and proudly displayed her "I Voted" sticker. Naomi humorously captioned her pregnancy reveal with, "We voted."
This announcement marks another milestone in Naomi’s noteworthy family history. In November 2022, she married Peter in a private ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House. Their wedding was significant as it was the first at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in nearly ten years, making Naomi the first grandchild of a sitting president to marry there.
Attendees on that special day included her mother, Kathleen, father, Hunter, and his wife, Melissa Biden. Siblings Finnegan Biden, 24, and Maisy Biden, 23, were also present. Notably, Naomi's grandparents, President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, shared in the joyous occasion. Family remains a vital aspect of the Biden legacy.
During a 2021 interview with Today, Naomi expressed appreciation for her grandfather's commitment to family traditions. "Every single holiday, we're all together," she remarked. The Biden grandparents conveyed their pride, stating, "It has been a joy to watch Naomi grow... Now, we are filled with pride to see her choose Peter as her husband."
Support is mutual, as Naomi also voiced pride in her grandfather's leadership. Following President Biden's decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, she expressed her admiration on X: "I’m nothing but proud today of my Pop, our President, Joe Biden."
