Netflix presents a mobile version of classic Minesweeper
Netflix has expanded its selection of subscriber-only games with the introduction of a mobile version of the classic puzzle game, Minesweeper. This revamped version of Minesweeper is now available on both Android and iOS devices. This is reported by SSP.
While maintaining the familiar grid-based gameplay mechanics, Netflix's version of Minesweeper features vibrant graphics and introduces new modes. One of the notable additions is the Journey Mode, which offers players the opportunity to explore different levels set in various locations around the world. Additionally, there are daily challenges for players to tackle.
The logic puzzle of uncovering and flagging sea mines on a grid has been replicated countless times on app stores, often accompanied by disruptive ads and microtransactions. However, Netflix's approach to this classic game differs significantly. Subscribers will not encounter any in-game ads or be subjected to microtransactions in this new edition. While gaming may not be the primary reason for individuals to subscribe to Netflix, the addition of indie games, popular AAA titles, and now Minesweeper facilitates a more engaging experience for subscribers during their leisure time.
