Olivia Rodrigo Calls Men Who Want to Go to Space a ‘Red Flag’

In a recent Netflix video promoting her concert film, Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour, Olivia Rodrigo shared her unique dating criteria. "This is a very oddly specific question that I ask guys on first dates. I always ask them if they think that they would want to go to space. And if they say yes, I don’t date them," Rodrigo, 21, revealed. She elaborated, stating that a desire to go to space shows a sense of overconfidence. "I think it’s just weird," she concluded.

Grimes echoed this sentiment, commenting on X, "It’s true. Only women should be going to space." Known as Claire Boucher, Grimes has her own complex relationship history with space. She was in an on-and-off romance with Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, from May 2018 to March 2022.

Grimes and Musk share three children, including son X AE-A-Xii and daughter Exa Dark Sideræl. In March 2023, Grimes publicly appeared with EDM artist Anyma, whose real name is Matteo Milleri. She shared affectionate photos on Instagram, captioning them "Beauty and the Beast." In the images, they are seen gazing into each other's eyes and sharing passionate kisses against a purple backdrop.

Grimes, 36, recently took legal action regarding their children. In September 2023, she filed a "petition to establish parental relationship" in the Superior Court of San Francisco, concerning parental rights. These proceedings help determine the legal parents for children in California, particularly between unmarried parents. The documents regarding this case are sealed.

Earlier this July, Grimes' mother, Sandy Garossino, made an emotional appeal on X, pleading with Musk to let the children visit their ill great-grandmother in Canada. "I’m writing here as the only way I have to reach you," she said on July 27. Garossino stated, "As you know, my 93-year-old mother is now at end-of-life palliative care. She yearns to see and hold Claire’s children one last time."

Garossino expressed concern, especially after seeing Musk and their son X Æ-A-Xii publicly, questioning the whereabouts of the other children. She urged Musk to honor his obligations and return the children so they could visit their great-grandmother before her passing.
