Ozzy Osbourne Makes Public Appearance Amid Parkinson's Battle
Ozzy Osbourne announced his Parkinson's disease diagnosis in 2020. Recently, he attended the Son of Monsterpalooza event with his family, writes E! News. The event featured support from his wife, Sharon Osbourne, and their children, Kelly and Jack Osbourne.
On October 12, the Black Sabbath singer made a special appearance near Los Angeles. Dressed in a black T-shirt, layered chain necklaces, and his iconic round glasses, the 75-year-old joined his family in Burbank, California.
Jack shared on Instagram how proud he felt about the family supporting Ozzy at the pre-Halloween event. He thanked fans for attending, stating, "Loved meeting and getting to hang out with you all."
In the days leading up to the event, Jack actively helped Ozzy prepare physically. Jack posted a video of Ozzy using exercise bands to stretch his arms. The caption read, "We are in full training mode," highlighting their dedication.
Ozzy has endured multiple health struggles in recent years. In 2020, he disclosed his Parkinson's diagnosis. He also underwent significant spinal surgery in 2022, which affected his ability to tour. The following year, Ozzy retired from touring, citing recovery hurdles and physical challenges.
He reflected on his journey in February 2023, saying, "My singing voice is fine. However, my body is still physically weak." After several operations and treatments, he acknowledged the frustration of disappointing his fans. "It F--KS ME UP more than you will ever know," he stated.
Ozzy had a final neck surgery later that year, confessing on The Osbournes Podcast, "Regardless of how it ends up, I'm not doing it anymore. I can't."
Sharon has remained a pillar of support throughout his health battles. In an ITV documentary in 2022, she expressed her sorrow over Ozzy's condition. "When I look at my husband, my heart breaks for him," she remarked. She shared her sadness while recognizing he suffers more.
Still, Sharon noted a silver lining amid these challenges: "The family, we spend so much more time together." This sentiment sheds light on their bond during difficult times.
