Paris Hilton Shares Heartbreak Over Losing Her Family Home to L.A. Wildfires
Paris Hilton recently shared an emotional update after her Los Angeles home was destroyed in the devastating fires.
On Thursday, January 9, Hilton, 43, posted a video on Instagram showcasing the wreckage of her home. The fires, which began on Tuesday, January 7, severely impacted areas of L.A., including Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and the Hollywood Hills. "I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable. 💔🥺" she captioned. "Upon first hearing the news, I was in shock. But now, witnessing it firsthand feels like my heart has shattered into a million pieces. 😢💔"
Hilton expressed that her house represented much more than a simple residence. "This house wasn’t just a place to live—it was where we dreamed, laughed, and created beautiful memories as a family. Phoenix’s little hands made art that I’ll treasure forever. Love and life filled every corner. To see it reduced to ashes is devastating beyond description," she stated, referencing her son Phoenix, who turns 2 this month. Additionally, Hilton shares a daughter named London, who is 12 months old, with husband Carter Reum.
In her caption, Hilton extended sympathy to other Los Angeles residents affected by the fires. "It’s not just walls and roofs—it’s the memories that made those houses homes. It’s the photos, the keepsakes, and the irreplaceable pieces of our lives," she added.
Nevertheless, Hilton acknowledged her "incredibly lucky" circumstances. "My loved ones, my babies, and my pets are safe.🥹 That’s what matters most, and I’m holding onto that gratitude with everything I have." She expressed her appreciation for the firefighters and first responders working tirelessly to combat the wildfires.
On Wednesday, January 8, Hilton revealed via Instagram that she was among numerous celebrities who had lost their homes. Hilton noted that her home was "where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London."
