Paris Jackson Responds to Criticism Over Sheer Dress at Fashion Week
Paris Jackson embraced her fashion choices despite receiving backlash. On March 7, the 26-year-old singer revealed on Instagram Stories that she faced "a good amount of flack" for wearing a sheer black dress to the Stella McCartney show during Paris Fashion Week on March 5, PEOPLE reported.
In her message, Jackson discussed humanity's relationship with clothing. She stated, "We're animals. At one point, we abided by the laws of nature." From her bed, she described how humans decided to wear clothes and dominate other animals. "A segregation was born and spoiler alert, that's why s--- got really bad," she added.
Jackson donned a sheer black off-the-shoulder gown made from organza silk, part of McCartney’s Spring 2025 collection. In another segment of her Instagram Stories, she questioned why the human body provokes discomfort for many. "It’s just a body ... we look at other naked animals all the time … we’re just animals," she said.
She encouraged her followers to embrace their bodies. "Don’t get uncomfortable with our bodies; there's nothing wrong with it," she noted. Jackson concluded, "It’s not that big of a deal … stop freaking out about nipples, man!"
After sharing her thoughts, Jackson posted a new photo of herself in a ruffled sheer black dress, tagging Chloé. She has recently showcased several daring outfits, affirming her bold fashion sense.
At the Golden Globe celebrations in January, Jackson wore a striking bedazzled nude sheer dress complemented by gold metallic heels. She also attended an afterparty in a see-through high-neck chiffon mini dress, showcasing her commitment to daring style.
Jackson continues to push fashion boundaries while encouraging self-acceptance among her fans.
