Patrick Mahomes Praises His Friendship with Taylor Swift and Its Impact on His Family

Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, shared insights into his friendship with singer Taylor Swift during a press conference in New Orleans on February 4. Mahomes highlighted their growing bond since Swift began dating teammate Travis Kelce, PEOPLE reported.

"Taylor being at all the games has been awesome," Patrick noted, referring to Swift's consistent presence at public events. He commented that he’s gotten to know her better, leading to a strong friendship. Mahomes also mentioned that his wife, Brittany, has formed a bond with Swift.

Mahomes emphasized Swift's positive impact on football, especially among younger audiences who might not typically follow the sport. He mentioned that this extends to his own daughter, stating, "It’s been awesome to showcase her bringing light to the sport that I love and getting little girls like my daughter into it." He reflected on how football unites diverse groups of people.

Swift has supported Kelce at numerous football games, and it is anticipated she will also attend the upcoming Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9.

The notable quarterback didn't hold back appreciation for Swift, declaring her the "best" in another press conference. He even mentioned owning some of her merchandise, confessing, "I’ve got the top."

In a conversation on The Drive with Carrington Harrison, Mahomes revealed that Swift has spent plenty of time with his daughter, Sterling Skye, and the two have even baked treats, including muffins and donuts, together. Patrick added, "Sterling’s a big baker as well, so they make some stuff together." He humorously confessed to indulging in their delicious creations.
