Pedro Pascal Looks All Trim as He Wraps Marvel's Fantastic Four Filming
Pedro Pascal has embraced the superhero role, showcasing a shapely figure after filming Marvel's "The Fantastic Four: First Steps." The 49-year-old actor, known for "The Last of Us," recently appeared in public wearing a black T-shirt and basketball shorts, seemingly toned down after his role as Reed Richards, better known as Mr. Fantastic, in the upcoming film. In this reboot, Pascal's character, along with Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm, acquires superpowers following exposure to cosmic rays during a space mission. This is prepared by SSP.
Filming took place from late July to late November 2024 at London's Pinewood Studios, with additional footage shot in Oviedo, Spain. Marvel introduced the cast in February, sharing an Instagram post on Valentine's Day showcasing the lineup as Marvel’s First Family – Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm, depicted in a cozy setting dressed uniformly in blue.
The project, directed by Matt Shakman and heightened by the spaceship vision of Marvel Studios' head Kevin Feige, was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con. Pascal expressed a warm affection for his new castmates, referring to them as his "New family." Vanessa Kirby spoke of joyful moments rehearsing with Joseph Quinn, hoping to transfer that exuberance into the film. Meanwhile, Pascal, fresh from Ridley Scott's "Gladiator II" – a sequel to the sweeping epic with Paul Mescal co-starring – shared his fondness for hard work and camaraderie, gesturing at Mescal’s abilities with the nickname "Brick Wall Paul," citing the remarkable physical prowess embraced by his co-actor.
"The Fantastic Four: First Steps" makes its way into theaters on July 25.
Earlier, SSP reported that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck officially divorced after 2 years of marriage.
