Pete Davidson Makes Red Carpet Comeback After Over a Year
Pete Davidson made a notable return to the red carpet at a gala for All In: Comedy About Love by Simon Rich in New York. This event marked his first major appearance since the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts premiere in June 2023.
On December 16, the star of The King of Staten Island showcased a new look with a buzz cut. He paired this hairstyle with black trousers, a black shirt, and a terracotta leather jacket. Davidson was seen attending the event alongside comedian John Mulaney, but his most striking feature was his absence of tattoos, as he has removed much of his extensive ink over the past four years.
Since departing from Saturday Night Live in 2022, Pete described his life as being on the low-profile side. In a recent W Magazine interview on December 12, he shared his thoughts on this period, expressing a desire to reassess his life priorities.
He reflected, "When I was 19, it was all about the ‘fit — that was all that mattered. Now it’s health, family, humility, being a good person, and not being a drug addict." The 31-year-old comedian credited a personal awakening for his newfound clarity about his values.
During the interview, Pete mentioned, "I got hit on the face with the Hollywood shovel." He indicated that this revelation was long overdue: "I’m very happy where I am right now, mentally." Despite his growth, he addressed lingering misconceptions about his dating history.
Pete has previously been linked to celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, and Kate Beckinsale, among others. He stated, "I don’t want to be this fucking loser who just dates people. That’s not who I am." He expressed mixed feelings regarding media attention, noting, "It’s actually, in a way, a blessing, because it allowed me to take a step back and evaluate things. What do you want to be? Who are you?" Davidson concluded by reaffirming his origins and passion, saying, "I’m from Staten Island, wanted to do stand-up, and if I got to do anything else because of stand-up, it was a miracle."
