Google's 30-second teaser introduces the Pixel 9 Pro's design, emphasizing its screen, side railing, and noticeable rear camera array. Unlike its predecessor, the Pixel 8 Pro, which featured a curvier and softer design, the Pixel 9 Pro adopts a look more akin to an iPhone with flat back glass and sharp metallic edges. The camera array remains prominent, evoking a ‘RoboCop’ visor appearance without blending into the phone's edges. It's speculated that this early reveal might be a tactical response to previously leaked images by a Taiwanese regulator, but some suggest it might have been planned weeks in advance. The Pixel 9 Pro is poised to usher in a "new era of phones," potentially showcasing advanced integration with Google’s Gemini AI chatbot. Pixel 9 Pro Fold
Shortly after unveiling the Pixel 9 Pro, Google shifted focus to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, integrating another brief Gemini-centric teaser video. Despite previous leaks already shedding some light on its design and name, Google's teaser cements the foldable device's features, highlighting its double-stacked rear camera lenses, outer display, and hinge. For a complete understanding of its specs and modifications from earlier Fold models, fans will have to wait until Google’s hardware event on August 13th. This event is set to showcase four phones, including the aforementioned models along with the Pixel Watch 3.
