Pregnant Olivia Culpo Is ‘Excited’ to Welcome Her First Baby — Sharing Her Experiences As a New Mom

Olivia Culpo announced in March that she is expecting her first baby with husband Christian McCaffrey. As she prepares for motherhood, gratitude fills her heart.

Speaking to PEOPLE, the 32-year-old model expresses her excitement about becoming a first-time mom. Although she and McCaffrey, 28, the San Francisco 49ers running back, chose to keep the baby's sex a secret, they look forward to this journey together.

"I'm thrilled and grateful to be pregnant. I’ve dreamed of this for so long," Culpo shares. "It's truly special."

Culpo also praises her husband, saying he was "made to be a dad." She adds, "He's so excited. I believe he will enjoy this role and be the best father."

When discussing parenting, Culpo emphasizes the importance of staying "open-minded." Having many friends and family members with children, she understands how unpredictable parenthood can be.

"Anything you assume you will do as a parent might change," she mentions. "Approaching this with an open mind seems essential. You can't get ahead of yourself because you just never know."

Moreover, she notes, "It also depends significantly on the child. I don't know yet how things will unfold, but I’m excited to learn."

Above all, Culpo expresses enthusiasm for establishing "traditions with my new family."

"Growing your family with someone you love is wonderful. Watching Christian transition into fatherhood excites me tremendously," she states.

"I know he will become an amazing partner, husband, and father," Culpo concludes, overflowing with admiration for McCaffrey. "I can't wait to witness him embrace this role. It promises to be an extraordinary experience."
