Prince Harry Celebrates Valentine's Day Apart from Meghan Markle, Engaging with Tsleil-Waututh Nation

On February 14, 2025, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, engaged with the local community. This visit took place during Day 8 of the Invictus Games in Vancouver, British Columbia. While Meghan Markle celebrated Valentine's Day with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in California, Harry continued his Canadian trip, PEOPLE reported.

Prince Harry, 40, spent valuable time with the Tsleil-Waututh youth. He visited a daycare, where he was seen dancing with a young girl in a pink dress. In another instance, he sat on the floor to interact with another child amid colorful heart decorations fitting the Valentine's Day theme.

According to the official website of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, "These emerging leaders focus on shaping their futures while honoring their ancestors' legacies. Their role as cultural ambassadors sustains First Nations’ rich traditions, empowering future generations to preserve their stories and values."

During his visit, Prince Harry participated in a traditional blanketing ceremony. This event is described as "the highest honor," which symbolizes protection, respect, and acknowledgment of one's journey. Sussex.com recounted, "It is a powerful gesture, emphasizing community warmth and solidarity. Prince Harry expressed deep gratitude for this significant honor."

As the visit concluded, it was clear that both the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and the Invictus Games value the healing power of the community.

In recognition of Valentine's Day, Meghan, 43, shared a touching, never-before-seen photo of the couple on Instagram. The black-and-white image showed them sharing a kiss over a meal. Accompanying the snapshot was a sweet message from Meghan.

She expressed, "Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues at the Invictus Games, reminding us all of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families. I'm beyond proud of my husband and his mission."

Continuing the sentiment, she added, "My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever. Thank you for you."
