QVC’s Kerstin Lindquist Reflects on Her Bond with Candace Cameron Bure
Among all the celebrities Kerstin Lindquist has met during her 13 years as a QVC host, one stands out.
"I loved working with Candace Cameron Bure because we shared a unique connection," Lindquist, 47, told Us Weekly. "She was the first woman I observed doing similar work, focusing on faith and fitness. I have always cherished our collaboration."
Bure, after successfully building a fashion brand centered around fun, feminine styles, decided to step away from QVC for new ventures. Similarly, Lindquist left the network in February to pursue her passions in faith and wellness.
When contemplating her next steps, Lindquist found Bure’s support instrumental. "I consulted her about her publishing partners," Lindquist explained, mentioning she successfully secured a two-book deal with Zondervan and Thomas Nelson. "She was very encouraging. She left QVC too. There were no hard feelings; it was time for a shift in both our lives."
On February 5, Bure guest-starred on Lindquist's podcast, "StRest," where they discussed faith, family, and fitness, reflecting shared interests. Lindquist appreciates Bure’s encouragement as she navigates motherhood. "We talk often, and she motivates me greatly, especially regarding child-rearing. Her kids are older and she reassures me that I will come out on the other side of this teenage journey," Lindquist shared.
Over three weeks after her final QVC broadcast, Lindquist continues to rave about her favorite products, such as Happy Viking and VitaHustle protein powders, Josie Maran argan oil, and Campanelli cleaning solutions.
Instead of waking early to host QVC's renowned "Saturday Morning Q," Lindquist focuses on new endeavors. Besides her podcast and book deals, Lindquist is organizing a significant summit in September featuring nearly 40 doctors and wellness experts.
"Leaving QVC allowed me to truly apply the skills God gave me in the wellness and faith arenas," she stated. "That's where my attention now lies."
As Lindquist embarks on this new chapter, she occasionally questions whether she made the right choice. Hosting at QVC let her communicate with millions regarding faith and wellness initiatives. Although she felt a persistent push to change, she knew she had to the Holy Spirit guiding her.
"I sensed I reached my peak at QVC. I wanted to learn more, share more, and help others more. It was the right moment to pivot," she reflected. "Could I rethink my path at 55? Absolutely. But why wait when the opportunity is here now?"
