Ree Drummond expresses her love for husband Ladd this holiday season. She showcases a humorous yet generous gift featuring his favorite product. On Friday, December 20, Ree, known as the Pioneer Woman, revealed her Christmas surprise for Ladd. She shared a glimpse on her Instagram Stories, hinting that she might have gone a little overboard. Initially, she teased her followers with a view of the present: two decorative boxes wrapped in festive red ribbon. "Want to see the gift I got for Ladd?" asked Drummond, 55. The subsequent clips unveiled the contents: multiple jars of Carmex medicated lip balms. Ree neatly arranged the bright yellow cases in stacks, filling additional space with more products.
"Ladd's biggest fear is a zombie apocalypse," she wrote in the video while preparing the boxes. "Not because of the zombies, but because he wouldn't have any Carmex."
Just when viewers thought she was finished, she showed how she filled a second box with the soothing lip balm, which claims to "glide on smoothly to help soften and hydrate lips." She humorously stated, "Nice box + his favorite personal product = The perfect present." Many would agree that this an amusing calculation!
As a cattle rancher, Ladd spends significant time outdoors, making these lip balms a practical gift. Ree and Ladd are parents of five and now enjoy their empty nest. The couple often relaxes in their outdoor hot tub on their Oklahoma property, creating fun memories.
Earlier that week, Reed and Ladd celebrated a significant milestone — the arrival of their first grandchild. Their eldest daughter, Alex, 27, welcomed baby Sofia Maria with her husband, Mauricio Scott, on Wednesday, December 18.
"Our first baby had her first baby. Thank you, Lord; we will never be the same," Ree captioned a touching photo of herself holding the newborn while Ladd watched proudly.
Along with Alex, Ree and Ladd are also parents to daughter Paige and sons Bryce, Jamar, and Todd.
