RHOSLC Star Bronwyn Newport Learned of Her Ex's Death on Facebook

Bronwyn Newport from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City shared a poignant chapter of her life, writes E! Online. The narrative reveals her journey as a mother and the heartbreak surrounding her daughter's father. This revelation happened during the series' episode that aired on October 16.

Bronwyn disclosed how, at 19, she became pregnant with Gwen while attending college at Brigham Young University. Her daughter's biological father chose not to partake in her life. Tragically, he passed away shortly after Gwen's second birthday.

During a spa day with co-star Lisa Barlow, Bronwyn uncovered deep wounds. She explained that his family ostracized her because of the pregnancy. "It wasn't a pleasant conversation with them," she shared. Those involved laid heavy blame on her and lacked supportive words.

Bronwyn expressed her disappointment at the lack of understanding from his family. They seemed to wish for a scenario where Bronwyn could quietly handle the situation, suggesting adoption instead. When Lisa probed about whether they explicitly stated their views, Bronwyn affirmed by nodding.

"The feeling of being alone consumed me," Bronwyn explained. She felt resigned to the fact he wouldn't support her. The disappointment escalated as her own Mormon family also felt humiliated.

Yet, the pain intensified as Gwen has never met her paternal grandparents. "I discovered my ex's passing on Facebook," Bronwyn recalled. She spotted a comment on an obituary coinciding with her former partner's photo.

Surprisingly, Lisa revealed she comforted his parents during this time. Recently, she prompted his mother for an opportunity to foster a bond with Gwen. Lisa cast hope when she said to them, "What are the chances?" His mother replied, "It's time." There was a hint of regret from his family, demonstrating their desire to connect with Gwen.
