Rosie O'Donnell's Daughter Chelsea May be Charged With Child Neglect and Drug Possession
Rosie O'Donnell's daughter, Chelsea Belle O'Donnell, is again facing legal issues, as revealed in recent reports that detail multiple arrests on charges involving child neglect and drug-related offenses. The 27-year-old mother of four was taken into custody in Wisconsin over the past month, first in Marinette County in September and later in Oconto County in October. Charges include felony child neglect, possession of methamphetamine, narcotic drugs, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and bail jumping, along with misdemeanors such as possession of THC, drug paraphernalia, illegally obtained prescriptions, and resisting an officer. This is prepared by SSP.
Rosie O'Donnell commented on the situation by posting on Instagram, sharing an older photo of Chelsea and noting that sadly these events aren't new for the family. The star expressed the family's continued hope that Chelsea will overcome her decade-long struggle with addiction. Prior to these events, Rosie and her daughter experienced a strained relationship that included periods of estrangement, notably when Chelsea left New York to live with her birth mother after reported issues with Rosie. Despite these challenges, mother and daughter reconnected in 2018 when Chelsea had her first child, Skylar Rose, leading to improved communication and bond, as Rosie reflected positively on "The Talk" at the time.
The current legal proceedings see Chelsea scheduled to appear in court in November. Throughout these developments, she hasn’t publicly commented nor has a legal representation been listed for her. Despite the turmoil, Rosie remains supportive of her daughter and grandchildren, sharing family moments on social media and maintaining hope for Chelsea's recovery.
