Sean Lowe Kisses Daughter Mia, 5, While Showing Off Stitches from Brutal Dog Attack
The previous week was challenging for Sean Lowe following a serious dog attack. His fresh scars were evident in a recent photo shared with his daughter, Mia. This is prepared by SSP.
Catherine Giudici, Sean's wife, expressed her deep love for him in a social media post. The caption read, "We love this man so much." Sean and Catherine are also parents to two sons, Samuel, 8, and Isaiah, 7. In her post on Tuesday, March 18, Catherine added an orange heart emoji, disabling comments to focus on support for Sean.
As Sean stretched out his arms toward Mia, bite marks from their dog, Moose, were visible. On Monday, March 17, he shared a sobering Instagram video with Catherine beside him. He explained how their beloved dog had attacked him twice in under twelve hours.
He noted, "Our family has been through it the last few days, but we’ll be okay. Thank you to everyone for the support. We’re very grateful."
Initially, Sean did not plan to share the details of the incident. However, he felt compelled because of the bond he had built with his followers through sharing moments of Moose and family life.
On March 13, while barbequing with friends, Sean was alone at home. Catherine was at the mall with their children. Enjoying a beautiful evening, he left the doors and windows open. Suddenly, smoke from the barbeque activated the smoke detectors. As he waved away the smoke, Moose lunged for the cloth and nipped Sean’s finger.
That moment marked the beginning of a frightening ordeal.
Sean described the attack: "He shows his teeth at me and just attacks me. I don’t mean he bites and runs off, like many dogs do. He attacks me." He recalled feeling the dog's teeth digging deep into his arm, stating, "I know I'm bleeding badly."
Sean managed to push Moose away and get him through a door, but the dog returned.
Sean did not want to be overly dramatic, yet he stated, "I honestly just felt like I am fighting for my life here against my dog." He expressed disbelief, recalling how just hours before, Moose had been calm, resting in his lap. The wounds left "a pool of blood" that made Sean fear he had ruptured an artery.
His friends rushed him to the hospital for stitches. The next day, Sean began making plans to have Moose removed for the safety of his family, especially the kids. However, as his parents picked up the children, Moose attacked Sean again.
Describing the trauma of the experience, he said, "Going through a dog attack is pretty darn traumatic. Having to re-live it less than 12 hours later, seeing that dog running straight at you, is a feeling I don’t want to experience again."
Police arrived to take Moose, resulting in Sean requiring more stitches. Reflecting on Moose, he stated, "It wasn’t Moose's fault. I believe he experienced trauma before we got him. Then, something switched, and he became aggressive." Sean and Catherine had adopted Moose as a Christmas gift for their children, sharing the news via a joint Instagram post.
