Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are taking action to help others amidst the devastating Los Angeles fires. The engaged couple shared posts on January 16 showing their efforts to support first responders in the region, PEOPLE reported.
In an Instagram Stories video, Gomez and Blanco, both wearing masks, unboxed food packages to distribute. They placed the food items on a table for the responders. Gomez expressed her gratitude by writing, "Grateful for these individuals."
Blanco also shared highlights of the donations they received. He posted a photograph of a van filled with various drinks from brands including CELSIUS Energy Drinks, Liquid I.V, Prime, and SuperGoop. He expressed his gratitude with a note: "Thank you so much guys," and highlighted the sandwiches supplied by The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills.
The couple's outreach comes as the fires worsen, leading to evacuations and destruction. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported 25 fatalities as of January 14. Several celebrities, including Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Ricki Lake, have tragically lost their homes in the fires.
In another Instagram post, Blanco thanked first responders, combining admiration for their commitment. He noted, "Thank you to all the first responders national guard and firefighters !!! u guys are super heroes !!!" He further emphasized that the couple plans to continue aiding the community.
Blanco voiced their intent to help more with a rallying call. "We are doing more drops!!! Any companies that want to donate pls dm me!!! thank you again to all the companies that showed up," he concluded. The couple's efforts underscore the importance of community support during these challenging times.
