Simone Biles Documents South African Honeymoon Two Years After Marrying Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens have finally embarked on their honeymoon, two years after their wedding.

The 27-year-old Olympian shared a cozy moment with Owens, 29, in a photo on Instagram Stories on February 16. After landing in South Africa, Biles displayed their luxurious suite for fans.

Throughout their vacation, Biles shared many moments from the romantic and adventurous getaway. On February 17, she posted a selfie with Owens, both wearing safari outfits. "Ready for our first game drive," she captioned the post on Instagram. They later posed next to an elephant and encountered a warthog, which Biles humorously referred to as Pumba, after the Lion King character.

Along with shots of a sleepy cheetah and numerous zebras, Biles expressed her nerves as she faced a lion, saying, "Not gonna lie, I almost s— myself," in the caption.

On February 18, she happily declared herself a "happy camper." Aside from their adventures, the couple opted for some relaxation, enjoying a couples massage together.

Biles and Owens tied the knot in April 2023, three years after meeting on the Raya dating app. Their first wedding was low-key, with the couple visiting the Harris County Courthouse in Houston for their vows. A second celebration followed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Biles mentioned during an Instagram Q&A in August 2023 that they had not yet taken a honeymoon.

"We haven’t taken a honeymoon yet," she explained.

For the past two years, both have focused on their careers, which delayed their honeymoon. Biles competed in the 2024 Summer Olympics, earning four medals, while Owens signed with the Chicago Bears last year.

Both have provided significant support for each other's athletic careers. Biles attended several of Owens’ Bears games, while he missed an NFL practice to cheer on Biles during the Paris Olympics.

"He praises the ground that I walk on," Biles expressed in an April 2024 podcast interview. "Truly, I’ve never met a man like him. He still opens my doors, going out of his way to do anything for me."
