Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Is Shocked by Kids’ Comparison of David Woolley to Ex-Husband Kody Brown
In the recent episode of Sister Wives, Christine Brown introduced her children to her new boyfriend, David Woolley, creating an unexpected moment when they compared him to her ex, Kody Brown.
Christine now enjoys a joyful relationship with David, whom she has been dating for a year. However, during the Oct. 20 episode, she began discussing David with her six children and their spouses for the first time. She hoped for a positive response but was taken aback when her kids made the unusual comparison to Kody.
While talking about David, Christine leaned into her children's thoughts. Mykelti Padron shared her confident endorsement, noting that she let David hold her twins, Ace and Archer. This, she emphasized, demonstrated significant trust. "I don’t let everybody hold my children," she remarked.
Tony Padron, Mykelti's husband, praised David's character. He remarked on how David raised his eight kids after his wife passed away in 2012 without falling into negative habits. "He made it through tough times," Tony said. However, Tony also shocked Christine with his assessment: "He reminds me of Kody. What, it’s true!"
Christine anxiously exclaimed, "Oh god!" Out of curiosity, Tony elaborated, stating, "He’s from the same generation for sure. All this Boomer stuff that I have no idea what he’s saying." Christine clarified her identity, explaining an eight-year gap with David. She emphasized she is definitely not a Boomer despite David technically being part of that generation.
Kody, 55, and father of 18, expressed pride in Gen X during a confessional: "We’re the feral generation. You’re a teenager in the ‘80s, with music videos. Duran Duran happened in the ‘80s!"
Despite their genuine intentions for Christine, not all her children welcomed the rapid progression of the new relationship. Ysabel Brown shared her personal struggle in a confessional: "There’s a strangeness in it just because I’ve only known her as married to my dad." She acknowledged that having recently gone through a divorce made the situation strange.
Ysabel then voiced her concern directly to her mother, saying, "I do, however, think you are moving so, so fast." Christine accepted her daughter’s perspective but reveled in her bond with David. "I knew after our first date that this was something that I really wanted," she elaborated. While she respected her children's opinions, she firmly stated, "How they feel is not gonna end my relationship with David."
On displaying affection, Christine noted their comfortable public shows of love were non-negotiable. "We kiss and hug in front of our kids, and David and I just don’t care," she confidently stated. Her approach is clear; her children will simply have to adjust.
Remarkably, Kody supported Christine's budding romance. He stated, "If Christine is wanting to date, she should have been dating, whenever she felt she was divorced." After Christine's 2021 departure, Kody underwent several changes as well, seeing his other wives, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown, leave him, leaving him with only Robyn Brown.
Christine currently expresses happiness alongside Janelle, sharing, "We’re living our best lives. That’s the best way I can sum it up. It really is."
