Tarek El Moussa Accidentally Calls Wife Heather by Ex-Wife's Name

A funny slip occurred early in Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa's relationship. In a TikTok and Instagram clip from The Flip Off, Tarek, 43, shared his mix-up when he mistakenly referred to Heather, 37, as his ex-wife, Christina Haack.

While joking with a contractor named Bryan, Tarek prompted him for clarification. "What did you call her?" Tarek teased. Bryan humorously responded, "Christina!" An annoyed Heather quickly added her exclamation, "Christina!" Tarek's reaction was entertaining: "Ohhhh s---. I did that one time. I’m lucky to be alive."

Bryan suggested Tarek might have made that mistake more often. However, Tarek insisted, "No, just once. It was more than enough."

Heather revealed that the incident took place at "the beginning of our relationship, and he got cut." The clip concluded with a humorous exchange about what free work they were getting, with Bryan addressing, "Nothing … you get my excellent work and attention."

Though Christina, 41, was not in the video, she is involved in the HGTV competition series, which showcases Team Haack versus Team El Moussa as they renovate homes for profit. Christina previously filmed alongside Josh Hall until their divorce filing in July 2024, after nearly three years. It's unknown if he will appear again after he was omitted from the new promo photos released in December 2024.

Previously, Tarek and Christina co-hosted the successful series Flip or Flop from April 2009 until its conclusion in 2022 after ten seasons. The couple separated in December 2016 after seven years of marriage. Their divorce finalized in January 2018.

They have two children together: 14-year-old daughter Taylor and 9-year-old son Brayden. Christina also has a son named Hudson, aged 5, with her ex-husband, Ant Anstead. Christina and Anstead wed in December 2018 but announced their separation in September 2020, with the divorce concluding in June 2021.

Tarek and Heather married in October 2021 and welcomed their son Tristan in February 2023. Currently, Christina is dating Christopher Larocca, the CEO and president of Network Connex.
