On December 12, Swift visited Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. During her visit, she met a teenage patient named Naya. A viral TikTok video shows Swift signing an Eras Tour book and expressing gratitude when Naya praised her outfit, calling it "tea." Naya, excited, confirmed it was a compliment, saying, "Yes, everything about it. Your hair!"
Days later, on December 22, Naya shared a surprise video on TikTok, revealing Swift's special gift. The present included the tartan outfit that Swift wore during their meeting. This stunning ensemble featured a $4,500 Miu Miu set, consisting of a $2,250 pleated miniskirt and a $2,250 button-down top.
Naya expressed her appreciation, stating, "She is soo amazing im soo blessed🥺, i love you Tay Swizzle you’re literally the Best💗💗." The video showed her delight as she unboxed the elegantly wrapped gift. In addition, Naya posted a photo of a handwritten note from Swift. The note read, "When you asked where I got it, I purposely didn’t tell you because I had a plan :) Picked you up a few things I hope you'll think are tea. Ha.…Merry Christmas! Love, Taylor ❤️."
Moreover, Swift's visit encouraged positivity at the hospital. Anita Belt shared her admiration for Swift’s compassion on Facebook, highlighting her meeting with another patient named Rylie. Belt stated, "Children's Mercy Hospital does their best to nurse seriously ill children, comfort family, and bring a little joy when they can. Today did not disappoint! Thank you, Taylor Swift, for bringing some joy to Rylie today!! Great way to bring a smile and make a memory!"
Swift, who finished her monumental Eras Tour recently, is known for her generous acts. In 2019, she donated $10,000 to a teenage fan dealing with stage 4 cancer. She also supported a Canadian fan, Ayesha Khurram, by donating about $5,000 to cover tuition fees. Khurram expressed her gratitude, stating, "I posted about struggling with paying for tuition. Two hours later, I get this in my email. I can’t stop crying."
