Tennis Star Frances Tiafoe Recalls ‘Drinking All Day’ With Taylor Swift
Frances Tiafoe shares an entertaining memory from a Kansas City Chiefs game. The American tennis pro reminisced about enjoying time with Taylor Swift at Arrowhead Stadium last November. In an interview with Tennis TV on February 24, Tiafoe described the pop star's impressive drinking skills.
"When we arrived at the suite, Taylor was the first person we spotted," Tiafoe said. Attending the game with his girlfriend, Ayan Broomfield, Tiafoe tried to maintain his composure. "I told myself to act like you’ve been here before," he noted.
The duo spent the day drinking together, and Tiafoe appreciated Swift's approachable nature. He expressed admiration and respect for her, describing her as one of the most humble and down-to-earth individuals he has met. "It would be great to do that again," he added. Although not a hardcore Swift fan, Tiafoe noted, "I’m not claiming to be a Swiftie, but I truly appreciate greatness."
Tiafoe also mentioned Swift’s interest in tennis. She showed insight into the sport, stating, "We wanted to watch you play in the final at the [U.S.] Open." Tiafoe also shared that Swift referenced her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during their chat.
Taylor Swift, at 35, frequently attends Kansas City games to support Kelce. Since their relationship became public in September 2023, they’ve been spotted together at various events, including two Super Bowls. Following the Chiefs' recent loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX, the couple is looking forward to quality time together.
Kelce’s father, Ed, shared insights on this upcoming timeframe in February. "Once the Super Bowl is behind them, it should be great for them...just to connect more," he said. A source also commented on the couple's plan to "lay low" as they explore their next steps. "It will be easier for them to plan now that their schedules have calmed down," this source remarked.
Both Tiafoe and Swift are prioritizing rest as they unwind from their events. "Neither has pressing commitments on the horizon," said the source, highlighting their desire to decompress during this downtime.
