Terry and Heather Dubrow Update on Teddi Mellencamp's Health
Terry and Heather Dubrow provided a brief update on Teddi Mellencamp following her recent brain surgery to remove tumors. Speaking with TMZ on Saturday, February 22, they noted that Teddi's current prospects appear "positive."
Heather Dubrow, 56, commented, "Family will share news about Teddi, but we’ve received some good news today. We’re really happy about it and sending our best thoughts to Teddi and her family."
Though the couple withheld details about Mellencamp's situation, Terry, 66, reiterated a hopeful message. "What we know is she is incredibly brave. We heard that she’s turned a corner a bit. It’s very positive right now, and things are definitely looking up."
Mellencamp's Health Journey
Earlier this month, Mellencamp, 43, opened up about her health issues on Instagram, revealing she needed brain surgery after doctors found tumors. She shared, "I've been dealing with severe headaches for weeks. The pain became unbearable, leading to hospitalization."
After a CT scan and MRI, doctors identified multiple tumors on her brain, believed to have developed over six months. In her post, she stated, "Two tumors will be removed during surgery, while the rest will be addressed later."
The remaining smaller tumors require radiation treatment at a future date, according to Mellencamp.
Support From Family
Throughout her health challenges, Mellencamp's estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, and their children have stayed by her side. They share three kids: Slate, 12; Cruz, 10; and Dove, 4. Although Mellencamp filed for divorce in November 2024, her family's support remains evident.
Arroyave, 47, has provided updates about her condition through social media. He noted that Mellencamp feels "beyond grateful" for the love and support received after her surgery. "Our family appreciates everyone’s prayers and well wishes," Arroyave shared on Instagram. "Teddi is grateful for the outpouring of love as she continues to recover."
