Megan Discusses the Pain of Losing Her Mother
Megan shares her heartbreaking decision regarding her mother. In 2019, her mom, Holly Thomas, passed away from brain cancer. In the film, Megan reveals how she felt "shambles" learning about her mother's tumor.
Megan explained, "They had to put her under...she was brain dead. I stayed there every day, praying she could shake back from it." Tragically, she reveals, "I had to make the decision to pull the plug and she just passed the next day," with tears in her eyes.
Changes in Family Dynamics Post-Tragedy
After experiencing this loss, Megan felt lost without her mother. She stated she "forgot" who she was and that she "lost a lot of confidence." At this low point, she turned to Kelsey Nicole Harris, a former friend who she sought as "family."
Kelsey described their bond, saying, "This s--- is deeper than what people see. We're sisters." However, tensions soon arose after the shooting incident involving Tory Lanez. Megan later voiced her disappointment in Kelsey.

For the first time, she faced suicidal thoughts. "I would rather not live through this than to have to live with this," she admitted. Fortunately, the retreat introduced her to treatments that helped her regain stability.

Viewers witness the anxiety Megan felt during the trial of Tory Lanez. She waited at home with loved ones for the verdict. Upon learning he was found guilty, she cried tears of relief. "Thank you God," she expressed in that moment.
Even with Lanez's sentencing to ten years in prison, Megan still faces challenges. "I'm dealing with people who are mad at me because I said what happened to me," she explained. Nonetheless, she is prioritizing herself, stating, "For the first time since my mom was alive, I'm taking care of myself because I want to feel good."
