This wireless charger with MagSafe support is a real deal
Portronics has been making waves in the market for affordable and feature-packed mobile accessories with its Luxcell range of power banks. Unlike traditional power banks that are bulky and plain in design, Portronics power banks are compact, lightweight, and visually appealing. They offer good charging speeds and capacities while still maintaining an affordable price, which is their unique selling proposition. This is prepared by SSP.
The latest addition to Portronics' lineup is the Luxcell Wireless Mini power bank, which not only comes at a relatively low price but also offers wireless charging. In a market where finding a power bank with wireless charging under Rs 2,500 is a rarity, the Luxcell Wireless Mini stands out with a price of Rs 1,250, often dipping below Rs 1,000 during promotional offers.
Despite its affordable price, the Luxcell Wireless Mini delivers an impressive set of features. It boasts a capacity of 10000 mAh, making it one of the few affordable power banks with a relatively large battery. Additionally, it includes a USB Type-C port, a Type-A port, and a wireless charging pad on the back. Notably, this power bank supports MagSafe charging and can attach itself magnetically to the back of phones that have magnetic charging capabilities.
The charging speeds of the Luxcell Wireless Mini are highly commendable. It supports wireless charging up to 15W, while the Type-C and Type-A ports offer charging speeds of 20W. Even the power bank itself can be charged at 18W through the Type-C port. These speeds are exceptionally good for a power bank priced within the range of Rs 1,000.
What's more, the Luxcell Wireless Mini manages to pack all these features into a remarkably compact and vibrant frame. Measuring 136 mm in length, it can easily fit into the palm of your hand or a pocket, emphasizing its portability. The power bank is made entirely of plastic but stands out with its attractive yellow and light blue shades. It sports stripes on one side and a transparent panel with LED indicators for battery levels and charging. This sleek package truly catches the eye.
Functionally, the Luxcell Wireless Mini performs admirably. With both wired and wireless charging options, it offers flexibility and convenience. During our tests, the wireless charging speeds proved satisfactory, with an iPhone 15 Pro Max going from 22% to 52% in just half an hour. The power bank also supports charging multiple devices simultaneously, although charging speeds may decrease when multiple devices are connected.
Charging the power bank itself takes around 4-5 hours using a 33W charger. Portronics provides a Type-C to Type-C cable in the box, but its short length (approximately six inches) makes it more suitable for charging devices rather than the power bank itself. Additionally, when multiple devices are connected, the accuracy of the LED indicators for battery life might be slightly affected. However, the power bank's convenient automatic switch-on feature when connected to a device via wires or wirelessly compensates for this minor drawback.
