Travis Kelce Reveals Taylor Swift's Unique Support After Super Bowl Defeat
During the Super Bowl 2025, Travis Kelce faced a challenging loss as the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. While he felt down after the game in New Orleans, he found comfort in his partner, Taylor Swift. The famous pop star was in the crowd, offering him support, PEOPLE reported.
In a recent episode of the "New Heights" podcast on February 26, Travis, 35, discussed how Swift's music lifts his spirits. His brother Jason, 37, asked if he ever listens to "sad music" during tough times. Travis emphasized the importance of acknowledging dark moments to appreciate the light. He said, "I listen to music that reflects my mood."
While Jason prefers "sad country songs," Travis finds solace in Swift’s music, declaring she has songs suitable for all emotions. He remarked, "You can find some Taylor music for any mood."
Not only has Swift supported Kelce emotionally through her music, but she also attended the Super Bowl to cheer him on. Seen in the stands, she was present during the Chiefs' loss, continuing their established pattern of support. The couple began their public romance in October 2023 and have consistently shown up for each other.
Travis has demonstrated his support for Swift by attending her record-breaking Eras Tour. Notably, he joined her on stage in London in June 2024. Similarly, Taylor has been a steadfast presence at many of the Chiefs' games through Travis’s two seasons.
In the aftermath of the heartbreaking Super Bowl defeat to the Eagles on February 9, Travis shared gratitude for his support network. Speaking to Jason, he acknowledged the importance of his family, saying, "I have a beautiful life. My loved ones have been there, cheering me on."
Travis has also expressed uncertainty regarding his future in the NFL, hinting he is still deciding whether to return to the Chiefs. On February 12, he mentioned on "New Heights," "I know everyone wants to know if I'm playing next year. Right now, I'm kicking that decision down the line."
Chiefs General Manager Brett Veach recently addressed speculation about Travis retiring during an interview on NFL: The Insiders. When asked about Kelce's return for the 2025 season, Veach stated, "I think so. We anticipate Travis being back. We’re excited to have him."
