Vanderpump Rules’ James Kennedy and Ally Lewber End Their Relationship After Arrest
James Kennedy and Ally Lewber, stars of Vanderpump Rules, have ended their three-year relationship after Kennedy’s recent domestic violence arrest. Although no charges were filed, the couple decided to part ways.
Ally announced their breakup on Instagram on January 22. She expressed support for James, wishing him well in his journey toward sobriety. "We are no longer together, but I’ll always support James," she wrote. Ally appreciated the fans for their understanding during this difficult time.
Clarifying the situation surrounding James’ arrest, Ally stated that prosecutors will not pursue charges. "I am happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James, as I never desired criminal charges," she explained. The argument stemmed from concerns about his drinking but resulted in no physical harm. Ally emphasized her disappointment in how the incident was portrayed in the media.
James’ attorney released a statement confirming that the Burbank City Attorney's Office chose not to file charges, affirming that there were no grounds for legal action. The lawyer emphasized that Kennedy will focus on his sobriety and DJ career.
The police were notified on December 10 following a disturbance at a residence in the Los Angeles area. Although James was arrested by Burbank police, he was released after posting bail of $20,000. Earlier that evening, he and Ally had attended Kathy Hilton's DIRECTV holiday party.
After the incident, James' attorneys responded to the situation, indicating their investigation into the claims against him. "We understand that there were no injuries and hope the city’s attorneys will choose not to file formal charges," they stated.
Regarding Ally, who joined Vanderpump Rules in season 10 after starting to date James, she thanked everyone for their messages of support. On December 14, she assured her followers that she was okay and appreciated the respect for her privacy.
Despite the breakup, Ally fulfilled her professional obligations, hosting a holiday event for fashion brand Windsor on December 11. James remained busy as well, performing at The Rave Eagles Club in Milwaukee on December 14.
The couple’s split follows another significant change in the Vanderpump Rules franchise: Bravo revealed that the show is undergoing a complete recasting for its 12th season. James openly shared his emotional response to the shakeup on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the decade he spent with Vanderpump Rules. "I’ve dedicated my life to this show and I’m forever grateful," he wrote.
James added excitement for what the future holds, stating, "Although this is a bittersweet ending, for me, this is just the beginning!"
