Pharrell Williams encourages fans to prepare for upcoming Beyoncé music
Pharrell Williams has exciting news for Beyoncé fans, urging them to "get ready" for upcoming new music. The 'Happy' hitmaker and the Grammy-winning artist, Beyoncé, who have often collaborated over the years, seem poised to unveil fresh material.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Pharrell expressed his excitement, saying, "So happy for her. And I’m so grateful to be a part of her story and journey. We've had a lot of fun. Get ready, though. Just get ready." However, he remained tight-lipped when asked for further details, simply repeating: "Just get ready."
This mystery could be tied to Pharrell's work on the music for the Disney film 'Mufasa: The Lion King,' where Beyoncé voices Nala.
Additionally, Pharrell reminisced about designing a custom jumpsuit for Beyoncé's 'Renaissance' tour. The jumpsuit celebrated her "shape and form," inspired by her "rare spirit." As creative director for Louis Vuitton Menswear, Pharrell explained in a video on the brand's Instagram that the dazzling black bedazzled jumpsuit was created to suit Beyoncé's iconic curves and allow her to move freely on stage.
He remarked, "The idea here was to give her something that allows her body to set the template. Not only in shape and form, informed by her spirit. Your body is literally a spiritual encasement. Celebrate her shape and form while making her feel free." Pharrell emphasized that every design element aimed to empower her rare and powerful spirit.
Matching outfits were also crafted for the 'Cuff It' singer and her 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, along with her backing dancers, cementing the cohesive and spirited theme of the performance attire.
