Nick Grimshaw’s Ibiza Holiday Villa Raided by Thieves While He and Guests Slept
Nick Grimshaw has been left distressed after his Ibizan holiday villa, which he had rented to celebrate his 40th birthday, was raided by thieves. Grimshaw, his 81-year-old mother Eileen, his fiancé Meshach Henry, and his friends were all asleep at the time of the incident. The gang of thieves, who have been targeting luxury properties across Ibiza, struck in the middle of the night.
According to a source who spoke to The Sun, these targeted attacks on high-net-worth clients’ villas have been increasing on the island this summer. The criminals were likely unaware of the occupants’ identities, making it a case of "wrong place at the wrong time," which was described as frightening.
Nick had initially shared an image of himself sunbathing on Instagram, which he later deleted. Following the unsettling event, he chose to maintain a low profile on social media. The burglary, which took place several weeks ago, left the occupants unharmed, though it was a shock to wake up to after the thieves' intrusion.
Grimshaw, who now co-hosts the Sidetracked podcast with DJ Annie MacManus and appears on Celebrity Gogglebox with his niece Liv, has returned safely to his home in north London. Previously, he hosted various BBC Radio 1 shows and was a judge on The X Factor in 2015. Sky News has reached out to both Nick Grimshaw and Ibizan police for further comments.
